Medical standing devices
Vadják, Šimon ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with patient verticalization and medical standing devices, which we use for this purpose. These findings are particularly important for rehabilitation and nursing care and also for the development of new standing devices. The bachelor‘s thesis describes the basic con¬cepts of human motor skills, the effect of changing position on the human organism, an overview of medical standing devices and their comparison. Thesis deals with comparison of the technical pa¬rameters of two standing devices more closely, standing device BALANCE Trainer and STOJ. The final part is devoted to measuring blood pressure using the noninvasive, continuous method of measuring at a group of wheelchair users during verticalization. I created a program with a graphical interface which allows measured data to load, display and measure, in numerical compu-ting environment MATLAB (version 7.9.0-R2009B). The results were statistically tested in the same numerical computing environment.

For the purpose of a comprehensive understanding, the issue of the analysis is set in the historical developmental framework of the triad of relations between Hungary and the Hungarian national minority and Ukraine.
High-flow centers and places to ensure the protection of the population, armed forces and armed security forces.
DLOUHÝ, Aleš
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of selected parameters of high-flow centers and places to ensure the protection of the population, the armed forces and the armed security forces. The aim of the work was to find out whether the operation of the high-flow vaccination center in Strakonice is more logistically demanding than the operation of the reception center from the emergency planning zone of the town of Písek and the mobilization center set up at the 4312 Strakonice military unit. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, while the theoretical part consists of three comprehensive chapters. The first chapter addresses coronaviruses, the SARS Cov-2 pandemic and the establishment of vaccination centers. The second part is devoted to the protection of the population in connection with the Temelín nuclear power plant and the reception centers of evacuees from the emergency planning zone of the Temelín nuclear power plant. The final chapter deals with the mobilization of the Army of the Czech Republic, the military unit in Strakonice and the established mobilization center.
Úloha sestry v mobilizaci pacienta po operaci kýly
KRAMÁŘOVÁ, Iva
This bachelor thesis deals with the nurse´s role in mobilizing patients after hernia surgery. Post- surgery care partially consists of early mobilization of patients from their bed. Mobilization is movement, i.e. getting up from the bed, sitting up in a chair and walking practice. Early getting up after surgery helps increasing the venous circulation which prevents the development of a tromboembolic disease. Three objectives were set. Find out in what ways nurses mobilize their patients after hernia surgery. Find out what steps nurses follow when mobilizing patients after hernia surgery from the perspective of education and find out how patients perceive the nurse when taking care of them after hernia surgery. For the purpose of these objectives, four research questions were set. The thesis contains two research samples. The first research sample consisted of 6 nurses and the second research sample of 4 patients. The empirical part was implemented using qualitative research, interviewing method, the technique of standardized interview with nurses and patients on the surgical inpatient department. Interviews were transcribed word for word, analysed, and then coding was carried out. The method of ´pen and paper´ was chosen. The survey was run during March, April and May 2021. The results of interviews done with the nurses have proven that all of the interviewed nurses mobilize the patients after hernia surgery by getting up over their hip, however, they do not follow all other steps of correctly carried out mobilization. Nurses educate their patients orally, they use oral education right before the first getting up from bed. Some nurses, together with the oral education also clearly show their patients how to get up from bed. Further, it was found out that patients are being given sufficient amount of time by the nurses. The results of this bachelor thesis may serve as study material to students of medical subjects or nurses as inspiration for supplying high quality care of their patients. The survey results will be passed on to the workplace where the survey was carried out. Based on specific findings, the current educational methods may be updated including the means of improving after-surgery care for patients after hernia surgery. Thesis results are divided into individual categories. In Nurses´ survey, they are Mobilization, Education and Environment. In Patients´ survey, they are named as Communication, Mobilization, Nurse´s Surveillance when Getting Up from Bed and Nursing Care.
Problematics of musculosceletal dysfunction and chains
Hofman, David ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Kučerová, Ilona (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It discusses the possible causing factors of these disorders, their manifestations on the body, diagnostics and the possibilities of influencing them. Since this is a very common phenomenon on the human body, I chose mainly the muscle, fascia and joint structure, which I explored and described in more depth. The experimental part of this work aims to demonstrate the possible impact of the intervention of the 1.-3. ribs and claviculosternal joint as described by Ludmila Mojžíšová on the muscles of the neck (m. scalenus anterior, medius and sternocleidomastoideus). To obtain results, I used the ultrasound examination of the diameter of these muscles and Visual analogue scale (VAS) to obtain pain values before and after the intervention using this method. Title: Problematics of musculoskeletal dysfunction and chains Objectives: The first goal of this paper is to collect currently recognized sources about musculoscletal functional disorders. I have described origins of this kind of problems, manifestation of these disorders and kinds of therapy. I've focused on functional disorders of muscle, fascia and joint. Second goal of this thesis is to evaluate a top-rated Prague rehabilitation school's method. Part of Prague...
Together alone: Collective behaviour in times of social distance
Brabencová, Markéta ; Císař, Ondřej (advisor) ; Němcová, Lucie (referee)
BRABENCOVÁ, Markéta. Pohromadě sami: kolektivní jednání v době sociálního distancování. Praha, 2022. 57 s. Bakalářská práce (Bc). Univerzita Karlova, Fakulta sociálních věd, Institut sociologických studií, Katedra sociologie. Vedoucí diplomové práce prof. PhDr. Ondřej Císař, Ph.D. Abstract The thesis deals with collective behaviour, as a form of coordination between people for political or social purposes during a pandemic. I am particularly interested in this issue from the perspective of the transformation of political activism. For this work, I define collective behaviour as a meeting of at least three people, in order to express an interest or problem in relation to public institutions, both in person and online. The mentioned pandemic period means the term from March 1, 2020, when the first Czech patient was tested positively, until August 31 of last year. The aim of the theoretical part is to present the political activism itself, individual types of collective behaviour, to describe the strategic protest repertoire and a view of symbolic instruments. The empirical part provides an analytical and systematic capture of collective action in the Czech Republic during pandemic. For that, protest events analysis was chosen as a methodological tool. In an effort to capture the pattern of contention politics...

Drhlík, Michal ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
Title: Frozen shoulder syndrome - effective physiotherapeutic approaches: systematic review Objectives: The aim of this work was to determine from studies concerning the treatment of the primary form of frozen shoulder syndrome using physiotherapeutic methods and published in the last 10 years, which brings the best results in reducing pain, increasing range of motion and improving affected shoulder function. Methods: Randomized controlled studies (double and single-blind) dealing with the physiotherapeutic intervention of frozen shoulder treatment with a data range of publications from September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2021 were searched. 3 databases were selected for this purpose: Cochrane Library, PubMed and Web of Science. Articles could be written in English, Czech, German, Slovak or Spanish. Different names of the studied disease were chosen as key words: adhesive capsulitis, contracted shoulder, frozen shoulder and periarthritis. Only articles with most probands between the ages of 30 and 70 were included. Persons with associated shoulder joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (excluding diabetes mellitus) were excluded. The analysis of selected articles was performed from clearly compiled tables for individual studies and from 3 summary tables of associated individual physiotherapeutic...

TITLE: Technique: cutting weapons in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries - art and war AUTHOR: Petr Krajíc DEPARTMENT: Institute for professional development, faculty of education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Helena Kafková ABSTRACT The target of the thesis is to present cold weapons not just as means of hunt, everyday use, but also as an attribute of the worrior art and to present reasons and changes, that lead to continual retirement of cold weapons to marginal possition. I study relevant concepts and sketch various dimensions that a weapon has under the changing circumstances. The thematic part of the work is devoted to cold weapons of the period of Habsburc monarchy. I present, in six chapters, basic patterns of use and kinds of cold weapons, described chronologically in concord with their history. I also study the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The major contribution of the thesis is acquiring basic knowledge from history, technical development and also the reasons of various changes and presentation of the weapon as artifact of its individual value. I also offer a picture of history and its sense and accompany it with cold weapons understood as a means of expressing important social concepts. Key words:  War, weapon, mobilization, work
The relationship between the occurence of a trigger point in the soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint and the possibility of their mutual influence
Judl, Jakub ; Šifta, Petr (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: The relationship between the occurrence of a trigger point in the soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint and the possibility of their mutual influence. Objectives/Aims: The aim is to write a summarization of facts based on a literature research on the complex problem of the trigger point phenomenon with a regard to their etiology and work out a pilot study to verify the relationship between the TrP and stiffness in soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint in terms of reduced joint play in the ipsilateral lower extremity. The experiment, based on objective results, is to answer the fundamental questions of whether patients with functional impairment of the SI joint leads to the formation of a TrP in the soleus muscle on the ipsilateral limb, whether the eventual dry needle therapy of a TrP in the soleus muscle will remove the malfunction of the ipsilateral SI joint, and vice versa, whether if by restoring joint play in the SI joint by mobilization therapy will have an effect on the muscle tone of the ipsilateral soleus muscle and remove the TRP. Methods: The incidence of TrP and the level of muscle tone was tested on 8 persons with functional impairment of the SI joint. Two even groups were formed. The first group had both a TrP in the soleus muscle and...
Politicizing Sexualities: Mobilization practices and networking within the LGBTQ movement in contemporary Madrid
Wiesnerová, Vendula ; Ezzeddine, Petra (advisor) ; Kolářová, Kateřina (referee)
This ethnographic study intends to explain the recent mobilization practices within the LGBTQ movement in contemporary Madrid in reference to the strategic use of identity and networking in collective action. It describes the Spanish movement as an ideologically polarized heterogeneous aggregate. The active challenging groups criticize the dominant part of the movement for giving up its original message of sexual liberation and diluting it in consumerism by supporting capitalist tendencies and the power of leading political parties. Via launching protest campaigns and collaborating in internationally supported networks with other ideologically related social movement communities, the challenging groups demand civil rights for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or identity. They mobilize upon the collective identity of "precariousness" while integrating elements of queer and transgender theory into their radical leftist oriented politics in order to transform the Spanish society. By bringing on new critical ideas and adherents, the success of the leftist oriented challenging groups has an impact on the direction of the politics of the dominant group, which thereby is forced to adopt such ideas into their politics. Despite the disunity and antagonistic character of the movement, the...
